Shoes, at age 9, is our “younger” imported stallion, and his foals are just now maturing and showing his potential.  Both the crosses and purebreds have his graceful movement and that rock-solid disposition we hoped would appear in the young stock. 

Shoes himself has readily accepted whatever task I have thrown his way, whether under saddle or in harness. From being the “original tractor” in the antique tractor parade at the Moultrie Sunbelt Expo for Southern States, to driving under the lights at Dressage at Devon with Tracey Morgan in a combined driving demonstration, he has always been a spectacular mover and a willing showman. He has readily proven himself in the show ring. 

Mr. Shoes is also a wonderful pleasure driving pony for me here at home. I routinely drive him over all the nearby farms, just him, me and a transistor radio, without having to give a second thought to the fact that he is very much all boy. Shoes is coming into his prime this year and we think the fun is just beginning as we watch his youngsters mature and make their mark in public.
